Moroso makes a great product, FORD makes one that is very difficult to work on. Remember that the oil pan will not just fall out in this case. We had to unbolt the body, lift it 6 inches, then unbolt the motor and lift it 4 inches to get the pan out. This gasket kit was amazing as we didn't have to disassemble the engine to make sure the Ford sticky gasket worked (per Ford's instructions)!

I had concerns about the installation as I did not remove the engine from the truck. A few tips when raising the cab. Use either a hoist or some jack stands so you can raise the front and back of the cab. I barely had enough room to pull the pan out. I had to raise the rear of the gearbox to get enough clearance. I bought a Moroso oil pan and oil pan gasket and followed the instructions exactly. Insert rivets, coat the corners with silicone, put on the seal, put on the pan and tighten. I look around and see that the oil pan is snug against the oil filter housing, since the gasket is 1/2 inch thick this gasket will not fit and I have to lubricate the entire oil pan with silicone and hope for the best. I want my money back. $85 of my hard earned money for something that doesn't even work.

Difficult to get fingers in to install due to the small clearance between the flywheel and the sump. If I had to do it all over again I would just use Ford Gray silicone. Installation without removing the engine and raising the cab. The engine will be raised far enough to place the 2x4 under the engine mounts. The oil cooler was removed to lower the oil pan far enough to clean the surface with a pneumatic wire brush. You must completely clean the old seal.
