This product would have gotten five stars if it had one.

This product would get five stars if it had a hinge between the pump and the cap. A few things I did that made it so successful: - Teflon tape for the brass fitting threads to the lid. - A few drops of engine oil in the hand pump assembly. - I didn't put the brake fluid in the pump, I just used it to increase the pressure in the system. - The system pressure was 12 to 15 psi. I did this when doing a 4 wheel brake job but I think it would take me 30 to 45 minutes plus any time to get the car up.

Great way to refill brake pads after changing brake lines

This was pretty easy to use to fill the lines with brake fluid. Of course I used a thin rubber washer that came installed and leaked fluid under the cap when I pressed it - a mess. The included thick washer solved this problem. However, I struggled to get a good flow rate to the right rear wheel. I realized that pressure was being put on the master cylinder reservoir and was afraid of putting too much pressure on any part of the system that might rupture the o-ring. Bleeding the brakes with an…

Beware of seals in brake tools

Purchased in July. Verified that the adapter cap would fit the latest Equinox then kept it until November. I've used it recently and found that the master cylinder gasket/washers that come with it are too thick for the cap to snap onto the master cylinder reservoir. They weren't perfectly round either, and before mounting I had to cut a larger one to fit the diameter of the mounting surface in the lid. This item is currently useless for this car until I can find a rubber sheet of the right…

Worth every penny. on Tools & Equipment

I was hesitant to spend the money on something like a Motive product or a much cheaper solution. I'm very, very glad I spent the extra money to pump the motive. I bought this because I knew I was going to replace the caliper on my '98 Camaro Z28. I decided to change all the liquid at once, and Motive Bleed helped me with that. A little advice. There are two ways to use this product and get great results. I tried emptying the turkey before starting and filling it with fresh liquid. If you use…
