Easy to install, best in breaker

Easy to install, haven't used them yet but my trolling motor has tripped my 30Amp circuit breaker and these 50Amp circuit breakers do it what he needed. I am sure they will work fine, if not I will change the rating.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Having trouble

Not what I ordered.

I ordered a 50 amp motor guide switch for $17.21. It was packaged in a Motor Guide box but was identical to Sea Choice's $11.55 50 amp machine. It installs easily and seems to work well, but I paid for Motor Guide, not Sea Choice. I would like the price adjusted by $5.66 to reflect what I received. If I had known they were the same I could have bought the product at a lower price. Also, as a Prime member, I ordered it on February 8th and received it on the 13th. So much for 2 days delivery…

Bought a Motorguide Xi5 trolling motor for my 1999 Bass Tracker. The installation instructions say to use a 50A circuit breaker (good) or a 60A circuit breaker (best). I chose the Motorguide 60 Amp brand. There is a big jump in price from 50 to 60 amps, but since I paid $1500 for my Xi5 I thought I should treat myself. Installation was pretty easy. I attached the top of the switch directly to the mini positive stand on my trolling motor battery using the metal connector provided. I didn't have…

Better deals elsewhere

I ordered the MotorGuide brand and expected it to be just what I needed. It's not like this. As others have said, the terminal blocks are too close together to accommodate the available ring terminals for the 6 AWG wire specified by Motorguide (my MotorGuide, anyway). And these are overpriced. You can buy a brand name 50 amp, 12 volt switch at any auto store for $5-$6. It's the same physical size and looks very similar to this one, and for that price you can get an auto-reset device too. For…
