Replaced my OEM with one which is a known weak link.

Replaced my OEM which is a known weak link in a 4X4 system after an OEM failure. Install two of these in tandem, maybe it's redundant, but my IWEs don't work anymore.

Inexpensive 4WD Rumble Correction

My 2015 F-150 has recently developed general front wheel rattle which suggests the 4WDs are not working properly. After a little research, I found that this inexpensive valve could be the solution. It's very easy to install, just pull the hoses out of the old valve and replace it. You may have to do a little work to get the old one off or this one, but it's not difficult. He fixed the problem immediately and I no longer had the problem.

Pros

Cons
  • Negative Result Present

Fixed issue with 4x4. The first symptoms were "metal loops" (the IWE was not vacuuming and the IWE was not fully/completely seated). Next came the difficulty turning in sharp turns. would have gone. Replaced both IWEs only to have the same or similar symptoms. After that I checked the check valves and found a leak in the check valve. Replace the valve and boom! Corrected!.

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • I vaguely remember

Problem fixed for 1.5 years for $10 DAMN FORD

I like my truck but they put a weird 4WD vacuum system in it. I was afraid to drive my Ford because the front left wheel sounded like it was about to lock up or fall off and hurt my family. It started 1.5 years ago and I left it in the store for 3 weeks. I've paid thousands for the warranty and another $100 to have this problem fixed. Not to mention a month without a truck and so much worry. For this reason I wanted to trade in almost completely pure platinum. It takes a minute to attach and…

I don't know much about mechanical things but I...

I don't know much about mechanical things but I was trying to fix my 4x4 in my F-150. I bought some parts like a new magnet and also new lift actuators. I noticed people were buying this too so I added it to my cart. The old one I unhooked was covered in dirt. When I replaced the new one I could actually hear the vacuum being sucked as the line was disconnected from the magnet. I haven't heard it before and the suction power was very weak. All in all I don't think it was my problem but the…

Fixed IWE rattle/ratchet on 2005 F150 FTX

I have a 2005 F-150 FTX that has a squeak and crackle coming from the front. It was very intermittent and difficult to follow. Sometimes this did not happen for months, then several weeks passed with varying rattle volume. It took me a very long time to figure out what the problem could be, so I started with an IWE vacuum solenoid and two vacuum check valves. Considering the cost, all three were easy to replace, but when I checked one of the old valves it was clearly failing. This new check…

Fixed IWE knocking on my 2018 F150

A few weeks ago my truck started having a very annoying knocking only when accelerating. After spending some time researching someone posted a video on the Ford F150 Owners Group on Facebook and the solution posted in the comments section of those posts led me here to buy this part. It was so easy to change that even a caveman could do it. I found a YouTube video on how to replace it and voila, no more rattling! I have to say that was the best $8 I've spent in a long time. Of course I could ask

Don't worry if this isn't listed for your vehicle.

I have a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII that the vacuum tank was never properly connected. The canister existed but did not hold the vacuum. It turned out that the check valve (small from the factory and the replacement doesn't work half the time) was connected directly to the A/C/heater unit and not between the vacuum tank and the vacuum source. . This block works reliably, the small ones that Dorman sells for this machine often do not work, the small flap does not close. He always works with it all…
