Until now they have been the perfect solution for traditional aching backs. I screwed them myself, it takes a little practice and patience. I left them for a few weeks and had no problems. Really like these but not sure if they are 18 gauge. Before I bought them I took the 18G ring I had and threaded it through the piercing to make sure they fit. It went very quickly and smoothly. When they arrived I had a hard time putting them on my ears. It felt like I was stretching them. I was sick for a few days but everything is fine now. I like all the colors and so far the backs have never fallen off.

This is amazing! The caliber is slightly larger than usual, so I had to persuade them a bit. It wasn't that bad and it didn't hurt either. I knew they were a different caliber when I ordered them so no problem. I liked the beautiful colors. Everything is done perfectly. It's been a week so far and they're still in my three year old ears. They won't stick to clothes and won't fall off like other earrings. My daughter loves them. They are the perfect size for her ears.

So it's definitely 18G. People who say it isn't don't know what wire gauge is. It's exactly what I expected and I couldn't be happier. They sparkle in the light, are the perfect length to go through my earlobes, even piercings that have knotty scars with extra room, and the beads don't unscrew at the back, which was an issue I had with one of my other sets . I just wish I could find more of these screw down earrings in my style and price range.

I ordered these to pierce my niece's ears and was very disappointed when I pierced her ear with a hollow needle, tried to insert these earrings into the needle to slide through her ear and found they were too big! I bought these earrings for my ears as I have multiple holes in each earlobe and find it difficult to sleep on the pointy backs of the earrings. They are cute - they look just like the picture.
