I tested my Skinny adapter by loading all possible ports and then testing each port device to make sure it can carry the load . I connected Skinny to my 2016 MacBook Pro, then with Skinny I have a USB to Lightning cable from the iPhone X, a USB cable to the Garmin GPS Oregon 600, a 64GB Sony SD-USD-II card (newer, faster card) and then connected the HDMI cable to My 4K TV.
