Probably worked for several months

Knowing volume has always been difficult. I thought it should be like this. Super doesn't answer - you have to spin it 3 times to increase the score. After a few months, the volume control became random. You can turn it in any direction and the volume will change randomly. I'm used to it. The volume worked like Tinder. I am now in my fourth year of ownership and have lost all ability to change the volume. And since the volume control is the only thing this amp fully trusts the user with, this…

This was one of my best audio purchases

This was one of my best audio purchases. Cool little amp! I also bought a C-DAC15.3 from him. Both are well-made quality products. The amplifier has enough power and its power rating should be less than 50W. I have large floorstanding speakers with no problems and good dynamics. The mids have a great presence and the vocals are just an eye-catcher. Both devices are very simple, no-frills components that focus on delivering great sound. My only complaint will be that the characters on the remote

I'm amazed I got all of this for about $40.

I bought this amp after many hours of research to replace an old used Sansui amp from the 60's. I was expecting an update but this has really revitalized my player system. I have decent Veritas Power speakers and a Sure m97xe stylus with an inexpensive vintage turntable. This amp really cleaned up the sound I was getting and also noticeably separated the instruments in a way that I couldn't hear with my old amp. Also dead silence. The sound quality is very realistic compared to my old amp. You…

So I bought this unit to drive a new pair of 4 ohm Audioengine HDP6 passive speakers. Now I know there's a break-in period for speakers and, depending on who you're talking to, electronics too. But right out of the box, this combination didn't impress me at all. Then, three days after start-up, the amp gave off a hot, burning smell, so I suspect the capacitor has failed. The sound hasn't changed much from when it was new, leading me to believe it was faulty right out of the box and it took a…

Simple and Musically Good for Home Audio

I don't see any reviews on this amp yet so I'm writing first impressions. I did some research for a few months before purchasing the Music Hall A15.3. It was an overwhelming process due to the sheer volume of great products at this price point. My goal was to replace my aging Denon AVR-2801 because its input switching wasn't working consistently, but what I liked about the Denon was its sound quality - it sounded amazingly natural and clear, if a bit cold/clinical. So I wanted a replacement…

Let me start by saying that I have excellent but old equipment. I bought this integrated amp to power a pair of 15 year old Linn Espekt speakers which cost over $4,000 new but can be used for around $700 if they can be found. Other excellent speakers that once cost thousands of dollars can also be had for a fraction of the price. I also have excellent but older sound equipment - very well built old DACs with good outputs. The reason I need a new integrated amp is because I've moved to a larger…
