I'm a believer now.

That sucks. I used a punch to make a hole in the center of the broken bolt. I started with a small drill and was cautious after so many reports of a breakage. It did nothing but became dull and then broke in two. I went to the size of the nest and the same. I went to my tool box and found a piece that could cut into the bolt. extractor time. I couldn't get any of them to bite. The whole set seems to be for decoration only. The most pleasant thing about the set is the metal housing, but it also…

Bullshit, and this isn't my first easy trip to the rodeo.

It was pure garbage. And this isn't my first rodeo on easy outs. The first piece broke immediately, the next one size larger was darker than the rest, dull and useless. Defective or used? Dunno, I was barely able to insert a size 3 bit to drill it out of the bolt and put in a light extraction that immediately snapped into the nearly fully drilled bolt. Pure crap, it took me ages to get my broken lung out of there. I figured it was time to just drill out another latch with a left hand drill and…

Run both supplied drill bits and extractor "anti-clockwise "!

Worked like clockwork for me! Used to remove rusted Phillips head screws holding brake discs - a pain in the ass! There are no instructions, but be sure to drill through the broken screw first by turning the drill bit "counterclockwise" (not the usual clockwise direction)! Otherwise the drill will not bite into the metal. Once you've drilled about 1/4 deep, insert the appropriate extractor into the drill bit and turn counter-clockwise, also at low speed. The extractor should "bite" the broken…

Great set for the money!

Okay, let's be realistic, that's an $11 set of reverse bits and extractors. The reality is you're drilling through metal and pulling out a bolt that's either rusted or broken. It's not designed to work 55 times when it's designed to do the job once for $11. This will save you from pulling out the car's engine and sending it to the mechanical shop. I have eight of these sets because I broke pieces in each one but never never never before has it found what I wanted so this set gets five stars for

Hot Trash - Screwdriver Accessories

Pulling out tons of soft metal screws in my current project. All of the heads are cruciform, and I've made at least 50 of these by cutting through the head with a brown cutter wheel using a dremel. Not strengthened, but simple, brittle, brown. These screws are SOFT and I have to dig deep in the dremel to hook anything. I figured a cheap set of extractors would do. I was wrong. I can't even push these screws in with the included bit. Yes I know they are reverse threaded. They work so badly that…
