Do not buy for Linux. Tested on Debian 9,10,11, Ubuntu with varying crash times, from total system freeze (never happened on this particular laptop) and no crash log to just driver crashes, latest firmware according to error 207557 not working. It doesn't seem to crash the system for me, but it still doesn't work properly, 5GHz AP crashes the driver and never worked for me. I can't comment on the Windows experience. This is probably normal, but nobody here uses Windows, so this is not an…

improved Wi-Fi speed and signal strength.

So my mother uses a Dell Inspiron 660 with a DW1506 wireless card running an Atheros ABGN 2.4GHz chipset. Older cars could barely pick up a Wi-Fi signal from the room, and being limited to just the 2.4GHz band limited speeds. Upgrading to an Intel ABGN/AC 2.4 and 5GHz card improved the wireless connection to the point where I no longer have to use a powerline system configured to connect to the internet. Done also worked on Linux.

Works great so far

I used this Intel 7260HWM to replace a failed Broadcom card that came factory installed in an ASRock Z97E-ITX motherboard. This Intel 7260HMW card has worked flawlessly so far. The signal strength is excellent. I downloaded the drivers from Intel's website before replacing the old card, but I didn't need them. Windows 10 detected the Intel 7260 WiFi chipset, automatically installed the drivers, and automatically reconnected to my WiFi network. I was surprised that I didn't even have to re-enter

Great item from Revain's inventory (Used)

This item was purchased used in very good condition from Revain's inventory. It fits perfectly on the 7 year old HP Pavilion 17-e019dx laptop. Great upgrade from the original only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi card without Bluetooth to dual band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) with Bluetooth. Installation is extremely easy, taking less than 5 minutes, and Windows 10 will automatically detect and configure the new adapter. There is only one additional step and that is to install the Bluetooth driver. I had to google "Intel…

Works well with ThinkPad T420S, requires modified BIOS

My office is quite far from my Wi-Fi router and I can't move the router any closer. So I had two choices: pay an extra $100 or more for a more powerful router, or replace my laptop's Wi-Fi adapter. Well, it is clear that this Wi-Fi adapter option is much cheaper and more convenient. It replaced the original old Lenovo WiFi adapter. Now the signal is much more stable and stronger. I confirm that this adapter will work with the Lenovo ThinkPad T420s model 4173. Please note that by default the…

The WiFi card every old laptop needs to upgrade.

So I have a couple of old laptops that are still in use and both software and hardware are showing their age. Internet speeds are staggering and downloads take forever. This is a simple upgrade to replace your wireless card (like Atheros or Broadcom or maybe Realtek) connected to your laptop. Not only does this significantly increase internet speeds, but it also adds support for 5 GHz (commonly referred to as 5G WiFi) as well as Bluetooth. The installation is very easy. (Regarding HP Pavilion…

Doubled my laptop's startup speed

I have a 2012 Asus U57A laptop that I update frequently. Bigger and better memory, new power cable, new operating system, new battery. Hey if it still works great then why spend 1-2 thousand dollars to replace it? However, when it came to my WiFi, my laptop was still using a single-band WiFi adapter. 2.4GHz in a 5GHz environment is not very ideal. I did some research, saw that this was the best adapter I could go to and went for it. It was incredibly easy to install and I saw great results…
