Not quite the same shoes as before

I have been buying New Balance MX-001 (MX608, MX623) durable shoes for many years. Probably a few times a year or so for the last 15+ years. In the past they fit me better, offered more support (flat feet) and lasted better than any other athletic shoe I've bought (Nike, Adidas, etc.). Plus, the non-marking outsole is great for boat decks (your boating buddies won't get upset and hand you a cleaning bucket!). In particular, I found that the heel pocket is a bit wider than before so there is…

Maybe they don't make them like they used to.

I've always loved New Balance shoes and while I don't want to be too harsh on these shoes I have to say they don't look like it. Make these shoes with the same quality as before. I've had many New Balance pairs over the years and they failed and kept working, but not now. I have had this particular pair of shoes for about one (1) year now; used them mainly for walking on concrete. The shoe has credit for being comfortable and durable (for a while), but its downside is the lack of lasting…

A bad imitation of what was once a good shoe.

I don't know what's going on at New Balance HQ but I look at these shoes and compare them to an old pair that I wanted to replace with these. It seems that someone reworked the shoes and made every detail cheaper. The fabric inside the heel is not even sewn to the boot, although it is sewn with threads. It's actually glued on (and falling off) and the thread is just there to give the appearance that they're sewn on. Where the laces are, the fabric isn't even connected, so just give the laces a…

Don't buy this! on Shoes

Bought because New Balance decided to discontinue the best widefoot shoe in the world, the 608v4. These are not very good shoes. They fit anywhere but put pressure on the instep. At the end of the day wearing them my feet really hurt. They have almost no arch support. Unfortunately I missed the return window. I will not buy again. look elsewhere Don't buy them. Now I'm looking for a new brand of wide shoes. Edit - Changed rating to one star. Almost unwearable due to the way the tongue digs into

Well sewn, feels good after wearing for a while.

As a MW813 and Men's 623 user, I can say that 623 is a well-made shoe, comparable to 813, except that the toe is more pointed, similar to regular shoes, while 813 is much more rounded and wide box, almost orthopedic shape. Also, the 623 is wider at the waist for the same advertised width. The feeling is a bit sloppy for me in the width of the EE. I have an E width that is very difficult to find. And with almost all shoes, the width D is too small for me. The outsole grips well on paved and hard

Don't repeat my mistake. I want to return them and get my money back. But I've waited too long and now I'm stuck. But I hope this review will help others avoid the same mistake I made. Unless you suffer from excruciating pain in your legs, DO NOT BUY THESE DIRT! I've worn New Balance shoes since I sold them in a sporting goods store as a young adult almost 30 years ago. Their comfort and materials made them some of the best shoes money could buy. When I graduated from college almost 26 years…

very comfortable, leather upper

I've had the 623 since version 0. Here's a summary. V0 - 2 pairs, very comfortable, leather upper, very good detailing, all excellent shoes V2 - 2 pairs, good comfort, leather upper, details removed, slightly smaller, normal shoes. V3 - 1 pair, bad comfort, hard synthetic upper, terrible, terrible shoes. V4 - plug in, done. Not there. The upper of the V3 is made of a very stiff plastic. The toe box flexes downward and cuts into the top of the foot as you walk. I hoped that eventually it would…

NB623s - very comfortable all round walking shoes - my second pair!

This is my second pair of NB 623's that I have bought. My first pair was bought over 1 year ago and they were very comfortable for the daily walk. I've put over 650 miles on my first pair just after 2.5 miles of morning walks. As you can see in the picture, after hundreds of kilometers traveled, the rear sole began to wear out. NB623 are not only comfortable but also easy to wash. My new pair of NB623 fit perfectly and I look forward to another year of comfortable walking. I take reviews…

Waste of money

I have been buying these New Balance shoes for my husband for at least 10 years from a local store with no problems. They don't sell the size 16 anymore, which is what I need, so I came to Revain to get it. NEVER AGAIN, what's the matter with them? Is this a factory wedding? Does the sole of leather shoes break off after 5 weeks? Not good, it was a waste of money, with such skill they don't last a month. I believe I deserve a refund or a new pair sent to me. This is totally unacceptable for New
