Find the right connector

This connector is for a car with a small 4 pin connector for towing a trailer with a more standard 7 pin connector. If the trailer has trailer brakes, the connector will have side connectors to connect them individually (since the 4 pin connector has no brake control wires). Most connectors of this type go backwards (truck 7 pin, trailer 4 pin) - so this connector is perfect for doing exactly what I needed to do.

2011 Toyota Sienna - Works great

Works great, can be disassembled and reassembled. I was doing just that when I noticed a small amount of rust on the connector posts. I coated it with dielectric grease. The only reason I noticed this is because I wanted to reverse route the wires, so I disassembled the head. Fasteners and clamps are of good quality and the braid is quite long. While it's not bulletproof (like a piece of stainless steel or something), it's definitely not cheap.

Today it just stopped working for unknown reasons. I replaced it with another connector and now everything is working again - the problem is somewhere in the electronics of this product. The original packaging and return period has passed, so I'm sticking with it for now. I cannot recommend this product based on my…

great value for connector

I had to rewire my truck from a flat 4 pin connector to a round 7 pin connector to accommodate trailer breakage. The only thing not mentioned was the auxiliary power fuse (battery charging on trailer) so I went with a 50 amp fuse. Google said alternators can deliver 30-300 amps so I only used the fuse to charge the second battery to a minimum. I couldn't find a factory wire for the auxiliary power supply or the electrical shutdown system, so I routed a new wire harness from the back to the…
