The light is amazing. I installed mine in a wood shed for my 55 gallon aquarium. It does not come with mounting hardware, just attachable feet to support it. So far I like this light! I have bought from this brand before and the brightness does not disappoint. Make sure to turn on the light in time before using the remote control, otherwise all settings will not work. My only complaint is that my other Nicrew flashlight has sturdy plastic legs with a grommet to hold the flashlight more securely to the tank. I liked the idea of a 24 hour automatic light scheme and it was the right size for my tank. Sent back the first one as it was clearly a return and hadn't been repackaged properly: the wires were barely tied together and it was just thrown back in the box. For a small aquarium with low to medium white light needs, seems to work well. My aquarium has been running for about 3 weeks now and the plants are fine. The remote control is powered by a wired sensor that you place so that the instrument can detect the remote control. There is a 24/7 mode, but from 21:00 to 12:00 it is too bright; should be off by 3pm or very dark I think. There's no indication of what mode it's in, so using the remote can be confusing. Edit: Light stopped working after 6 weeks. I contacted support and they asked me to send a video of the light not working. Condensation was forming inside the light and since there was "water” inside the light they said the warranty had expired so they would not replace it. I've had it a little over a week so far. I like to walk in and out of a room and leave the house without having to worry about turning off the lights. I like to use the 24/7 mode.
