Nilight Automotive Harness Interlocking Socket Review

Used these [or at least one of them] on my John Deere 4100. The original relay has failed and it's just a standard SPDT relay with a low enough current rating that I don't see the point to waste the price of $75 on a dumb relay. Nothing special here either. So I got these with 30 to 40 amps at the terminals. High enough. I made myself a "pigtail" to plug into an existing socket and had no problems at all.

Bought because I keep making electrical modifications to my cars. I only needed one for my bike but I bought this set of 5 because I know they will come in handy over time. The product was well packaged in a box with plugs and instructions. I could do without metal clasps, but you never know when you might need them, right? Installed on my bike to convert 2 function headlights to 3 function headlights and it worked flawlessly. Will definitely buy again if I need more!

Works perfectly. I used them to isolate the low wattage 5 amp circuits going to my switches from the high wattage 30 amp circuits needed for the 52 inch lightbar I power my Yamaha Added Viking. I liked how it worked so much that I used them to isolate other circuits as well. I was able to run a smaller wire to the switches and centralize the power wiring by installing a relay under the hood next to the battery.

First picture of this purchase. Must be the best deal in the world. The second photo is when I bought it at the auto parts store for $4.99, a socket and no relay. I thought it wasn't that bad. Ordered because I didn't want to order connectors and cables to mount the LED panel on my truck. They are not weatherproof but provide a good seal for underhood use. These automotive relays are supplied with connectors to simplify installation as you only need to connect the cables provided. no & nc describe the switch position when the coil is NOT energized. They can be connected in any way, open or closed when no power is applied. This makes them useful for more than just turning things on or off.
