Works, but difficult to assemble

So this works great. But in the end it turns out unique. Let me explain; Fuses are difficult to install in sockets. I had to use pliers to put them in place. If one of the two fuses blows, it will either be very difficult to remove and replace, or you will have to use a different adapter. This is probably one of the reasons you get several in one package. These fuses will stay if you don't have pliers to pull them out. The materials used appear to be of good quality and great value. So…

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • The list is long.

The two real fuse sockets don't need to be the right size as it is VERY difficult to insert a fuse. It is so tight that it can bend the fuse's legs. I tried 3 different combinations of extensions and fuses and they were all equally tight. Others have written about it so it's not unique to me. If some people gave 5 stars then the quality control is poor as I definitely didn't have 5 stars. Folks, this isn't rocket science. I don't need to read the owner's manual to insert a fuse. The fuse should

Not even the kit's own fuses fit.

I bought it to install lights on my installation, unfortunately they are unusable. The additional part does not work due to the supplied fuses. I tried to insert it into one of the two slots with such force that I bent the fuse. I tried the second and third fuses from the pack and they all failed. I then tried other fuse taps in the pack and none of them matched the fuses that came with this kit. They also don't accept my fuses and when I try to connect a faucet to my rig's fuse panel it…

Fuses, Pack of 10 Fuses & Accessories

I only recently discovered these fuses and they are a life saver. I have aftermarket fog lights and a GPS speedometer wired into my fuse box and they are great. I used to have to stick the wire into the fuse panel, then insert the fuse to hold the wire in place and hope the wire didn't come loose. With these faucets I don't have to worry about that anymore. I've read other reviews from people claiming that the fuses fit very tightly into the plastic holder and that's true, hence the 4 star…

Works with key control relay

The fuse tap was purchased primarily to switch the always on outlet in the Ford Fusion to something that was only turned on with the car keys in the ignition. Since the Ford Fusion doesn't have many ignition related fuses I used this tap to control the relay to control the power going to the 12v sockets. The fuses were stuck which although was a bit annoying when I had to find out to which fuse to use and change the amperage it's good to know they stay in place after I've completed the changes.

must be checked before use

I have received these items and used them as they were intended to be used. I wanted to add connections instead of just putting the wire in the fuse holder and then reinserting the fuse to hold the wire in the fuse box. However, they did not connect as they should. After a lot of time had passed I checked to see if I had 12 volts in the fuse box with no voltage from the new terminals. I found that the butt connector on the new cable adapters was crimped before the wire was stripped and of…

Well mine worked fine

So I bought it specifically to plug into the fuse and power my jeep without having to hook it up to existing wiring. I didn't want to cause any problems with the existing electrical components, so I bought it and wired it to a fuse in the underhood fuse box. I ran this cable through the firewall and powered the dual high power USB port and plugged in a switch from my ARB air compressor. This worked great and I now have both elements powered and protected by a fuse. The only thing I had to do…

Worked well for my project

Worked well for my project to install a backup camera in my car. I would rate it 5 stars but it only came in a plastic bag and had no instructions as to which fuse slot was which. I had to use a counter to determine which of the two slots to use. The outer one, in a straight line with the wire hanging down, is an extra fuse for the new circuit. The original fuse you removed to attach this wire. This original fuse goes in the slot closest to the connector that goes to the fuse box. I got them…

The socket was too tight

I have used this type of product in the past to install car mirrors with Homelink so I decided to use them for the reverse release cable in the backup camera installation I am doing. I got her out of Revane's locker last night. The first thing I noticed when I got home was that they were sent unopened and unsealed, in fact the top corner was cut off. I counted, there were 10 fuses and 10 adapters, so I didn't bat an eyelid. Then came the actually easy part of installing a fuse in an outlet. It…
