Description of 🌀 Noctua NA-FC1: Versatile 4-Pin PWM Fan Controller for Optimal Cooling Performance (Black)

Compact, highly flexible controller for 4-pin PWM fans. Works as a manual speed reducer or in tandem with the automatic motherboard fan control: achieve truly quiet operation, even with high-speed PWM fans such as Noctua’s industrialPPC series. “No stop” mode: prevents the fan from falling below a speed of 300rpm in order to avoid BIOS fan errors. Includes a 3-way splitter cable for controlling up to 3 fans simultaneously. 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Amazing little device

Love the size, simplicity and the connecting cables that come with it. I also want to give credit to BGears as the fans I bought were from them. I sent them the following question on 09/08/2018 and they responded in less than 24 hours. BGears: I hope you can help me. I just bought 2 BGears 90mm PWM Blue LED fans. 0.62A plus or minus 0.02A. Assuming a full load of 0.64A per fan and assuming my only SYSFAN header on my motherboard is outputting 1.0A. product/B072M2HKSN/ref=oh_aui_bia_detailpage_o0…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

- One of the main reasons I like this fan controller is its compact size and ease of use. It's a bit pricey for a fan controller, but it works very well and has exceptional build quality. The drive that controls the fan speed doesn't wobble or feel like it's about to fall off, so I expect this controller will last a long time. Has been running for several months with no problems. While I like the NA-FC1 for the reasons above, one of my main criticisms is how the fans connect to the controller…

High quality fan controller with many accessories

This compact manual fan controller with included splitter cable is ideal for controlling 3 Noctua NF-A20 PWM fans. The quality of the controller, cables, manual and packaging is excellent. This fan controller was just what I needed to complete my DIY hardware cooling solution for my StarTech network rack model 4POTRACK25U. The DIY solution has worked great so far. Photos are included and the detail list is below. Parts list: (3pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071SLFBNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8XCqFb…

Great if you want manual speed control of the pwm d5 pump

I recently built my own water cooled computer but for some reason the pwn controlled Swivech d5 pump I bought didn't slow down after I changed them in the BIOS and even with an app like Speedfan. The problem is that the pump was always running at maximum speed (4800 rpm) and sounded like a flying airplane. Based on my research on Amazon, there aren't as many fan controllers on the market as there were in the old days when cases used 5.25 bays, but luckily I found this speed controller from…

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • Some trouble

Another Noctua product with 5 stars. I originally bought it to control fans but ended up using it to control a water pump. Especially with water pumps, the "non-stop" function is amazing. I wish this device was a little cheaper. I also want him to make coffee and bring me breakfast in bed. At least that won't happen with Noctua. If you're new to Noctua, the focus is on quality, not price. If that's your thing, buy it. If not, keep going. The device is well designed and has excellent…

Pros
  • Includes 3 wire splitter cable to control 3 fans simultaneously

Unique Product - Internals

Highly recommended for people who need manual fan control. I gave it four stars because I think this product could be improved or a completely different product could be made that would make it easier to mount the controller outside of a computer case. You have power on one side and fans are supported on the other side via a 4 PWM connector. This makes it difficult to attach it to the case from the outside without clever thought (and the computer case allows for some modification). I used an…

Pros
  • Compact, extremely flexible controller for 4-pin PWM fans
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

AV Cooling System Application

I created a system to cool an AV cabinet in a closet. Components include Aventage, Emotiva, and Oppo. The cooling equipment used includes: 1. Noctua fans (3) (Model No. NF-S12A PWM)2. Noctua Fan Controller (Model No. NA-FC1)3. Noctua Extension Cable (Model # NA-SEC1)4. Cablemod Molex to SATA Cable (Model # CM-CAB-MSAP 45KK-R)5. Coolerguys power supply (110 VAC to 12 VDC power supply with 4-pin Molex connector). Of course, the anti-vibration corners protect the AV equipment and prevent the fans…
