Great fans! Quiet and cool!

I bought 2 of these fans and a Noctua PWM Y-splitter cable to replace the ugly standard brown fan that comes with the Noctua NH-U14S and a push-pull fan on to operate this heatsink. I can't say enough good things about these fans, they have PWM support as advertised, they are so quiet I was amazed when I first turned on my machine. I can't even say they work, even under heavy loads, unless I turn around and see that they work. They cool my CPU well at 38-40°C idle and 50-60°C under heavy load…

  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • No power

Fantastic fan but BUY AN EXTENSION CABLE

Bought a batch of these fans to replace the beige CPU fan in the Noctua cooler and the stock fans in the Fractal Define 7 Three stock Fans were 140mm, 3 pin, max RPM 1000RPM. On the other hand, these Noctua are 140mm, 4 pin PWM, 1500RPM. That alone would be improvement enough, but adding one at the top of the case and one below that takes over the intake transformed the Define 7 from average thermals at best into a nice full featured HAF case with positive internal pressure Virtually silent…

Pros
  • Case fan
Cons
  • Actually I don't like it everything is fine

Bought two for my NH-U14S TR4-SP3 They work

Took a $90 cooler and made it for $150 but well worth it as that brown color is terrible. I outfitted this cooler with dual fans and got a decent temp for a hot upstairs room. I have it in end to end configuration. Where the inlet is on one side and the outlet is on the other side, in line with the airflow of my case. It barely breaks 50C when running Cinebench or any other benchmark as I've also paired it with a huge case. They work great and don't blow much air. I have every Noctua fan I can…
