This CPU cooler is probably the best choice out there for anyone trying to cool a high performance CPU in a mini-ITX case like my Cooler Master Elite 130. At first I was afraid of using it. This is due to the height of this cooler as my case specs said I only have 65mm clearance but the actual clearance is probably around 75mm allowing this cooler to fit snugly under the PSU. Keep in mind that they cool Intel S or T series chips phenomenally, but with K processors like my i5-4690k you'll see…

It's Noctua, synonymous with quality and performance

I have a 2U workstation that I'm working on for a friend. I put an i7-4790 in the case (instead of a 4th gen quad-core i3). The standard cooler when testing the Intel processor could not prevent heating to 100 * C even with the case open. Was replaced by this cooler. Keep in mind that there isn't much room for a tall CPU cooler in a 2U case. The 65mm height was pretty close to the top of the case so airflow might be limited, but let's be honest if you want good airflow and a powerful processor,

Small. Compact. Puzzle pieces and thermal paste.

This is good quality. I bought it to replace my liquid cooling system which wasn't that good. I figured I'd go back to the fan to minimize cleaning and the chances of another clogged water block not being misdirected by a thermal. This is for another review. This fan is not as modest as the Noctua fans, but not too big and ugly either. I wanted a clean look. It runs on an i7 6700 on an MSI Z170A Krait Gaming 3X motherboard. The freedom of movement of all surrounding parts is perfect. As if it's

Wow! Just wow! for CPU fan

This cooler exceeded all my expectations. Installation was easy, possibly the easiest CPU cooler installation I've ever done. The temperature drops by up to 50% when idling and under load. It's so quiet I can't even hear it. I have 3 x 120mm and 3 x 80mm fans in my mid-tower InWin case and I never realized that the CPU cooler was making the most noise. Amazing upgrade. After the first impressions I am very happy that I chose the Noctua product. With this little beast installed I idle 20-25…

Quiet and the fan rarely works

bought it to replace the stock cooler. This is a mid-range machine with an Intel i5 10400. The original fan was a poor clone of the stock Intel cooler. The fan was loud and unbalanced. It runs and vibrates even at low speed under very little load. This block is about the same height and makes no noise even at full load for 5 minutes doing big Excel updates. Most often, the fan does not work, and its temperature is 8-10 degrees cooler than the standard cooler. I can't believe the 10400 is…

Extremely quiet, but the fan failed after less than two years.

I was very impressed with the look, fit and finish of this heatsink/fan combo when I purchased it. It fitted perfectly into my home theater PC and was exceptionally quiet. No problems until 20 months later, the fan just stopped while the unit was running. The product says it comes with a six year guarantee which is the main reason I bought it so of course I'm disappointed to find out it doesn't. That doesn't mean it will last longer than any other fan I could buy. UPDATE: The usually harrowing…

This is a great upgrade for the stock radiator

This is a great upgrade for the stock radiator. I recently bought an Asus desktop with an Intel i5 6400 processor. The stock cooler ran at 30 degrees Celsius (86 F) and hit 67 C (152 F) under load. This was tested when converting videos with handbrake for 15 minutes. After replacing the stock cooler with the Nuctua NH-L9x65, I was now running at 27Β°C (80Β°F) and maxing out at 43Β°C (109Β°F) and converting the same video in the same amount of time. I also ran a CPU-Z stress test and got the same…
