HOT stripper! - Corers & Pitters

Useful and inexpensive tool. Don't expect the jagged edges to be sharp, you'll only core soft peppers. I want the diameter of the folded part to be 5/32 smaller. Most jalapenos which are smaller seem to be made for this, it works if you like gutted peppers and with minimal heat - ribs and seeds have the "HOTTEST" peppers. The smaller size would have allowed some of the ribs to remain inside, and the extra twisting would still remove them for those who want fully peeled peppers. Don't try to…

When you plant jalapenos. You need this amazing gadget!

I recently bought some kitchen appliances. and this is another one that tops the list. There's nothing quite like fresh jalapeno sliced into salsa, pico de gallo, roast and the like, but getting your hands on the seeds isn't as much fun. Even after washing, pepper oil is difficult to remove. This gadget allows you to remove seeds without even touching them. so easy to use. What I like best is that it's all in one. The neck of the tool is serrated so you can use it to remove the tip of the…

Works for Roma tomatoes too!

At first I was disappointed. My peppers were too small to use this core. But then I got a box of regular sized jalapeno peppers and was impressed! As others have said sometimes a few seeds are left at the bottom of the peppers and unless you insert them directly into the peppers some of the white membrane may remain. But for the most part, this stoner is amazing. Today I discovered another use for it. I had to salsa 50 pounds of Roma tomatoes. This means peeling and pitting a very large number…

Useful tool, best of kitchen tools and gadgets

This summer I had a bumper crop of jalapenos, Fresno peppers and banana peppers and I decided to get rid of anything that wasn't freshly used. This tool turned out to be very useful, although it didn't impress me at first. To be honest I don't really think about using a serrated edge to snip off the top of a pepper. For this part, I prefer a razor-sharp paring knife; The serrated edge is not that effective for me. However, this tool has become a master at removing the core from seeds, even on…

Almost perfect for fruit and veg

This coring tool does a great job removing the first 2/3 of a pepper. However, the last 1/3 will get you there! Serrated edge near the handle. Use these to cut off the top of the peppers. Then insert the tip of the blade into the edge of the membrane and start twisting. The tool does a really good job of scraping *most* of the membrane off the inside of the peppers and gathering the seeds into a neat clump. The notches on the inside of the tool will then grip the membrane/seed ball allowing you
