Perfectly protects me, my clothes and adjacent surfaces from splashes during cooking. It also helps direct fumes and smoke towards the hood vents to some extent. Easy to clean in the dishwasher, nothing sticks, so there's no need to rub to avoid scratching the non-stick coating. Didn't rust. Not very big, but seems to work well enough to be customizable (super easy) every time we cook. Would definitely buy again.

Just to clarify - all the top reviews on this product complaining about sharp edges are many years old - the product currently on sale has rounded edges - see attached photos. This product works pretty well. Well, it feels a little flimsy, but it's lightweight and does the job. For the price of €7 you can't complain. The only suggestion I'd like to make is to make it a little taller, as some of the oil droplets can still seep in through the edges when searing/frying.

Good idea that MIGHT work if you have the right hob setting. My stove is a 5 burner gas stove. Norpro 3 - The side splatter guard helped a bit when I was frying, but my other burners got in the way. The size and configuration of your stove and the size of your pots will determine if this is right for you. I have a six burner gas range with a center pan that sits over the countertop.
