Great for pastries - NOT for pizza

I bought this as a replacement as I was giving mine to someone who was leaving the country. I mainly use it to pound nut and crumble cakes before blind baking. Do not use this or any other pizza base roller. It will flatten and most likely destroy the air bubbles and prevent them from rising properly. The pizza base should always be stretched by hand. You do NOT have to rotate it - this is mainly done for show.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Long delivery time

It was just right for me

Found a great pizza dough recipe. But I didn't have a chance to roll it out and it wasn't possible to shape it manually. I live alone and in a very small outbuilding so I didn't need a big rolling pin. Also, I had no way of storing it. I bought this scooter because it is small and works great. Exactly what I needed. I bought lots of magnetic hooks to hang my new collection of wooden rollers, syringes and spoons.

Pros
  • Everything was great!
Cons
  • sad packaging

Slightly disappointed with the best in kitchen and dining

I was excited to buy this roller when I received it. I was disappointed in its unfinished quality, it literally cracks on the outside edges almost fearing it will rub the pieces into my dough I will have to ask my husband to sand it smooth but for the price I would consider another purchase , although I must say that this is not a standard quality or craftsmanship that I know and trust. The wet roller will be a problem, so be diligent and wash it quickly and don't let it soak for a long time.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some flaws

This scooter is a very handy tool and a must have. Making your own WHEAT FLOUR tortillas (Masa Charina tortillas should be made with a press instead) is what God sent. And here's why: The small roller is rounded/curved so it's very good at forming circles and edges, then you end up with a wider, flat-ended roller. Although not very durable, it seems to be sufficient if you don't use it. For some things you still need a full rolling pin. There are many gadgets that end up not being widely used…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great for baking - and play doh!

I confess I go crazy when it comes to reading reviews. I wanted the perfect plasticine rolling pin. I wanted it to work in a little girl's hand and rotate around a central pole. Well, they can't. Then came the inspiration. Why not use a tool designed for rolling out dough in a small space? Step into this perfect pastry video! They failed in their calling by not promoting needlework and plasticine. Oh, and it's great for rolling out the crescent shaped dough into a pie pan or 9x13. (But buy two…

Great little roller if you have small tables

Priced right and pretty strong. I don't have a lot of counter space and love to bake homemade bread, pizza and pastries on a regular basis. When I'm trying to roll out pizza dough, my big rolling pin always hits things on the counter, so I've got it. Nice and small enough to roll out a 9 inch pizza. Doesn't hit anything. The only thing is that it's a raw wood, which means it's a bit difficult to wash until it's seasoned with flour and other things. Be aware that if you soak or soak it in water,

DIY pizza making guide with this

Not a bad tool for pizza lovers, but not a miracle tool. Thaw bread dough (regular Walmart dough works for me) 2. If it hasn't risen enough, place in the oven (turned off) with a small saucepan of boiling water for about 30 minutes3. Dust the table with flour, distribute the dough to about 50% of the desired size4. Place on a floured baking sheet 5. Place in the oven with boiling/simmering water6 for a further 20 minutes. Put the dough back on the floured table. NOW you can use this roller to…
