I recently purchased The NORTH FACE Hedgehog Fastpack Men's Gore-Tex Hiking Shoe and I was damn impressed! The shoe looks amazing in TNF Black/High Rise Gray and also gets top marks for comfort and support, two things I think are must-haves in any hiking boot. Hard to decide how to look at them. I've had three pairs and would buy them again if they were on sale, but they're not worth a full retail sale. At $75 these are good shoes, at $120 they are very expensive. My biggest criticism is the quality control. The first pair lasted about 6 months, the second pair wore out in less than 3 months; The third pair lasted a little longer but was easier to work with, although after about 8 months the heel cushioning was completely gone and I didn't have to…

I have a wide foot and when it comes to the perfect shoes I'm always wrong. This is my third pair. I go through them quickly because I use them for everything. They are fairly water resistant and fairly durable. I wash them sometimes to clean them and they hold up well. I recently accidentally treated them with top coat and I think it just came off them. That's why I'm always on the lookout for these shoes.

Love these walking shoes and have had many pairs over the years. I have a hard time finding comfortable walking shoes, so I was glad to find them. My heels are sticking out which is causing fit issues. I've always worn a size 12 and it always fits me. That is, until now. The last pair I bought was too small for my left foot. I sent them back and ordered a size 12.5. They fit well and seem to work well. I don't know why they changed the shoe size but be aware.

This shoe has a very solid construction, especially the sole. In fact, the outsole is so strong that it's not very flexible. These shoes are made for slower, more methodical strides over rough terrain. I've used them for travel in Southeast Asia and they've been ok, I'd say 7/10, 3 stars overall.

Cons - The break-in took a little while. Standard insoles too thin, switched to orange Superfeet, laces snapped but still hanging. Pros - Great grip, Gore-Tex material is good and keeps feet a bit dry. I read water meters, so I go there whatever the weather. conditions are mandatory. The soles hold up well to daily wear and tear. These shoes are very comfortable. They do wear out over time, but I haven't found a Gore-Tex that's 100% waterproof. I will buy them again.

if i could put -5 stars i would! Glad I buy these shoes whenever I can to support them! I wear them to work and they are great - if they are real shoes! When I opened the box I knew it was fake! I still have a pair so it was easy for me to tell the difference! I've never let Revain down, but I wasn't surprised knowing others have gear for The North Face. So watch out - the next day - BACK!

I was amazed at how comfortable these shoes were right out of the box. Well made and extremely light, these waterproof hiking shoes have quickly become my go-to shoe for this winter here in Louisiana. We don't get much colder than 40*F but it's humid most of the time, these are amazing shoes for my everyday wear or the weekend.
