I took these to walk the shallow areas of coral reefs as I felt my cheap water shoes from the local grocery store couldn't cut through the sharp rocks and coral. . The feel of higher quality water shoes is like day and night when you actually use them in the water. While not considered the best, they got me rid of bruises and cuts and allowed me to walk twice as far as my partner who went barefoot and was only able to walk a few feet before deciding to get stuck in one spot to stay. Although comfortable on feet, they were difficult to put on. Without a separate tongue and with a thick knit material, it was very difficult for me to put them on. I have back pain and artificial joints that limit bending down to reach my legs for long periods of time, but for those who don't have these limitations, they can be comfortable. These Nortiv8 water shoes appear to be well made and are exactly what I was looking for. I have gray ones with a plastic rim on the outside. I usually wear a size 9.5 (US men) and ordered an 8.5 based on their size chart. The fit is pretty good, I definitely wish they were bigger. They are nice to walk around the house. Absolutely amazing shoes that feel. I'm struggling with pretty serious back problems that have been causing problems in my legs and feet and I feel so much better than any shoe I've tried. I can't express how much I love these shoes but I will be ordering more soon. I should try rubbing down some of the soles first. I wore them all summer and didn't look at them until I washed them. I received these to replace my Marrell sandals. I've had them for 10 years now and they've completely burned out after repairing the sole a couple of times. They won't last as long but they are holding up great and better than I expected. I bought these for my dad for Father's Day. I bought them to wear on his paddle boat and on the lake beaches. Unfortunately, sand/stones get inside. He said they are otherwise fine. Not very good boat shoes though, they don't hold up well when boarding a boat.

So I went to Zion Narrow. I have not used them in the water. I used my Columbia. I think you need a stronger shoe than these NORTIV 8 Men's Barefoot Water Shoes Lightweight Athletic Water Shoes for tight spaces. After I finished the hike through the Narrows, I took off my sodden Columbia shoes and put on these dry Aqua shoes. I woke up to my car on a paved walkway (about half a mile) and I can tell you these are not concrete running shoes or sidewalk. Not enough padding for normal walking. They
