I would give it a 5 but if I turn my van's power off then back on the light comes on automatically. I have 5 of these so I have to bypass and turn them all off. Not that it's a big deal, but annoying. One more thing, the switch between red and white light looks like a power switch, so it's confusing for novice users. Consider changing the image on the switch to reflect the purpose of the switch.

Very bright and dimmable red or white light, turning the light on by itself makes the light white or red and the switch in the base turns the light on or off and dims the light when held down.
