    Do Not Buy From Brake Flaring Tools

    This product is of terrible quality. It just can't do normal 3/16 flashes. My 3/16. Cube broke after the 5th try. Avoid this product.

    There are no spare parts.

    I have two of these and both have broken 3/16 adapters. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me they don't sell individual adapters. I won't buy any other.

    OEM 25358 Flare Tool

    I have been trying to make 3/16" double flared brake lines with this tool. This tool cannot be used to create a high quality double highlight. The hose holding jaws damage and deform the hose to such an extent that the fitting binds the hose. The alignment of the hole in the jaw is misaligned so the resulting flange is deformed, likely resulting in a leaky joint.

    Made it harder, not easier.

    To be honest, this is the first time in my life that I am writing a negative review. I can't confirm how this tool works with the cupro nickel brake hose, but I haven't been able to make a single usable dual flare on the steel hose I used today. I had the same problem as everyone else: too much slack, and the "anvil" end up blowing up the line with an irregular shape. I just gave up and used a compression fit instead. I will try to return the item tomorrow (I didn't order it through Revain).

    COMPLETE TRASH! on Brake Tools

    As mentioned in the other two reviews I had the same issue. Difficult cams to align, pipe warps and scratches, bit cannot be held straight when tightened, I did 5 flares on a vial (brake line 3/16) as I was skeptical, they are all completely crooked and look awful. The bit was constantly stuck in the tube so I had to pull it out every time, on the last one, ironically the best, the pin on the bit that goes into the tube was bent so I'm pretty sure it will break at the next flare. I came here…
