Take this one, not the other.

First I bought another type (different brand, smaller socket, with a square plug on the right side. - Plug on the left, right-handed - MUCH more powerful 80W, not 40W or less on another Brand/another style - I actually have to turn this off, I can't just leave it on full power for long before it becomes uncomfortable which is great! The other version I had was never warm enough Price $30 it is much better I also like its width, I can fit my whole mouse/keyboard and everything on it

That is what I have been waiting for!

I've waited for a product like this for years and this one is almost perfect. It's big enough for my ergonomic keyboard and mouse and still has room for my hand on the non-mouse side. It's nice and thin, except for the control box, which is tucked away in the top left corner. I use the medium temperature setting that suits me. The only downside is that the instructions are in very poor English, but working with it is so easy that it doesn't really matter. I'd love to see a version of this where

Perfect for a cold office.

My study is in the basement and it's 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house. This makes your hands icy. The heater under my desk warms me well, but not my hands. This mat warms my fingers very well. I run it at low RPM, which is more than warm enough. I bought a neoprene mouse pad so I wouldn't cook my mouse to death and I hold my keyboard in front of the pad so that's not a problem. The benefit of this particular pad is that the cable is on the left side, away from the mouse. Before…

Keep your hands warm without a table warmer

My hands get cold while gaming which slows down my reaction time and causes a bit of discomfort. The pad is easy to use, press the button to switch between high, medium, low and off. The color of the LED indicates the setting. The maximum power is 80W. It warms up my mouse pad well and my mouse to warm up my hand. It's less effective at keeping the keyboard warm for warming my left hand, but it still penetrates the keyboard and keeps it warm, but not as much as a mouse. Make noise, occupy the…

Good for cold mornings

I bought this during the colder months to warm my work station in the mornings. My desktop gets chilly at night and I find it a bit harder to type when my fingers are cold, aided by a cold keyboard. This heating pad is good for warming up your keyboard and mouse so they are in a more comfortable temperature range. I will find that I had the airbag automatically turned off several times. The cable connects to the pad, so I unplug the cable from the pad when I don't need it, just in case. The…

mixed feelings about this product (updated*)

**UPDATE** I will try to return it. I only used the blue (lowest) setting, but one day at work I was very cold and turned it to the highest setting. I would say it shut down after 40 minutes. Even more concerning is that my phone headset was plugged into the same power strip and unplugged at the same time. It didn't restart until I unplugged the heating pad and restarted the extension cord. I no longer feel comfortable using it at work let alone at home. I've read a number of reviews and…

Keeps what it promises: Office and school supplies

It just arrived today, but I thought I'd at least share my first impressions. So far most of the other reviews here are correct. This thing does what it says on the tin: it plugs in and heats up. However, there are some nuances related to the heat generated that are worth remembering. There's no thermostat, it just pumps heat more or less evenly across its entire surface, which I think is why so many reviews say it's either too hot or not hot enough. At any given point on the mat, heat will…

damn cold hands. In the past I have scoured the internet looking for a similar product without success. I bought the first two for a colleague in the office and for myself who have glass top desks. I spent too much time in my home office without adequate heating and my hands were sore and numb. After the last 2 months I have decided to buy 3 more and give them away. Good: Heats up evenly. Auto off timer function! Large - leaves room for keyboard and mouse. Easy to wipe or clean. 3 heating…
