After trying a few new DVRs and supposedly great apps I returned to the Olympus DM-620 and still wasn't happy with it. This is a Cadillac of miniature stereo digital recorders in my opinion. All three microphones are extremely sensitive! It has a wide range of recording functions (WAV, MP3, etc.) to record exactly the sound quality you need. WAV files are VERY LARGE, so they also more closely match the actual original sounds. I like this device. But when I play above 2.4x the buttons become unresponsive. So I need to remove and replace the battery and restart the device, as per the manual (Olympus CS) I went through it and confirmed that the device should run at 3.0x speed with no issues.
