Type of review

This camera has it all; crisp photos, instant autofocus, dreamy electronic viewfinder, 2x2 wheels offer full instant control, simple intuitive menu. And lots of accessories at great prices; recently added a 70/150 telephoto lens (used in excellent condition) for $60. The flash can be disabled from the camera by the camera flash. Small compared to a DSLR and does everything it can. In a DP article, the critics emphasized the "shutter shock". Speeds from 1/50 to 1/200 can produce soft focus…

The perfect adventure camera

I recently sold my trusty Nikon D300 and wanted to upgrade to something more modern and compact but with interchangeable lenses. I initially chose the Canon EOS-M and was very disappointed. It was slow and I just didn't get the photos I wanted. I gave it to my girlfriend and went looking for another one. Luckily my buddy showed me this guy. I read the reviews and bought it along with a 40-150 zoom lens for a 3 week trip to Argentina. In short, it was amazing. It was small enough to be carried…

Good all-in-one camera

I've resisted the Olympus brand for years because of their insanely rigid menu system. I had one a few years ago and this camera was just impossible! But Olympus digital cameras have matured, and so have I *um* matured. My Canon gear is getting heavier every week. So I started looking at various compact mirrorless systems, reading reviews from professionals and users, and looking at sample images. While Oly camera reviewers generally agree that the menus are complex, the number of options…

Review from a Pro: Camera and Photo

To ensure I had a successful photography business, I took photos with all cameras. I shoot weddings, commercial work, event photography, family portraits and more with the M43. Was a friend of Nikon's until 3 years ago but 3 Nikon's with backfocus issues pointed me towards the M43 revolution. I have never looked back and have owned pretty much every Olympus M43 camera they make. I'm currently shooting with the E-M1 and E-M5 and my results have been phenomenal. There are currently no APS-C…

fantastic little camera

Firstly, this camera is probably not for those who want to "point and shoot". While it can be used in this way with excellent results, there are much more economical and suitable point and shoot cameras out there like the Panasonic gm1, gm5 and gf7. I bought this camera as a replacement. for the broken olympus omd em5. I also bought a VF-4. I prefer the rangefinder style and find the bump on the em5 intrusive. Also, this camera has a faster top shutter - 1/8000 - which allows you to shoot wide…

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
