It's not wireless, it has a cord like any desk phone. The wireless part means it's connected to the OOMA base station is wireless network, so you just need to connect your phone to the network. There is a small battery for the base station, but you don't want to use the phone without a power cord.

Pros
  • 32 programmable speed dials

Wi-Fi dropped and calls dropped

We bought this setup for our office and are trying to use it with our wireless service. The base station kept losing connection and rebooting, sometimes in the middle of a call. We called Ooma for assistance and they asked us to call our ISP. The ISP made the changes suggested by Ooma, but they didn't fix the issue. So we called Ooma and they replaced the device. Pros
  • DECT 6.0 wireless technology with 150ft range
Cons
  • unreliable

When you switch to hands-free mode, your phone uses the built-in microphone in the bottom right corner. It immediately sounds like the car is going down the freeway, and then the echo feedback loop begins. I called my cell phone and my cell phone was off (not on speakerphone) and when I put my Ooma phone on speakerphone I could hear what people were…

Pros
  • Dedicated hold, transfer and conference buttons
Cons
  • Null

The physical design and idea behind this phone is great. i wanted to love it But actual everyday use of this phone is terrible. The keyboard's keys are definitely hard to press, as one reviewer noted, and they don't produce the normal "tonal sound" you're used to from a phone at all. strange. Ooma says it's a bug but hasn't been fixed for over 3 months or got any other technical response. The phone keeps freezing and not working. Sometimes during a conversation. When you're on a call, you can…
