Just works in Computers & Accessories

took my old NVMe SSD (boot device) out of the desktop and put the new SSD in there, plugged the old one into the USB port and the desktop booted up like nothing wrong and from there I could copy to a new one. Big! Comes with a small torx screwdriver for the two screws it has. Simple design, easy to assemble.

All-metal body with RTL9210B chip but defective USB-C connector.

I like the all-metal body, sandwich design, RTL9210B chip, and screw and brass washer mount for installing M.2 SSD on PCB. Unfortunately something is wrong with the whole batch, I think I ordered 2 in a row from Revain, both have a defective USB-C connector and I have to send both back. It's also twice the price of another metal + ABS case model. If the USB-C connector works, I'll give the price for all its positive qualities. Another disadvantage of this case is that the screw holding the back

Good Case: Hard Drive Case

I bought this case after returning another case that didn't fit. The other package was based on the JMicron chip. After much research I found several other reports of problems with this chip. This case is based on the RTL9210B chip which works fine for me. It's fast and reliable on all my machines. The body itself is well built. The fins add a small amount to the size, but they seriously affect heat dissipation. Comes with a piece of thermal tape. Torx screws included, but a screwdriver isโ€ฆ

This NVMe SSD enclosure is available as external storage via the USB-C port of the PS5

Combined with the Samsung 970 evo plus 2TB, this case can be used via the USB-C port of the PS5 as external storage can be used. For example, "Control" and "Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris" are installed on the SSD and play without any problems. The case is also designed to be used with a USB-A port by swapping attached cables. However, the USB-A ports on the back are recognized by the PS5 as raw storage. I couldn't use PS4 external storage on PS5. However, thanks to this, the lack ofโ€ฆ

This device appears to be the perfect M.2 enclosure: RTL9210B chip supporting NVME and SATA SSDs (supports all relevant M.2 connector keys). USB Type-C with 3.1 Gen 2 support, a good mounting mechanism, and a fairly efficient (and pretty) heatsink enclosure. They even give you 2 different high quality cables: C-to-C and C-to-A. The chassis kept my SSD from 35ยฐC idle to around 55ยฐC under sustained load. a little warm, but overall it would be ok for an external device designed primarily for bulkโ€ฆ
