Good blade at a great price

I was looking for an aluminum cutting blade for the FIRST robot team working in my basement. My first search of a reputable industrial supplier turned up blades starting at $250. It was pretty much a non-starter. I found this on Revain, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Cuts cleanly, quietly and quickly. We've been cutting parts for a few weeks now and the blade shows no signs of dulling. It also works great with PVC pipe and wood (we used it for training purposes. Having worked a…

We've done a lot of woodwork over the years. They did carpentry work at home. He did fiberglass work for boats. This was my first aluminum/metal cutting experience. Bought a 16ft x 16ft mechanical pergola kit for my home and had to trim the joists, shades and posts for installation. Bought a Northern Tool 12" miter saw and upgraded the blade to this 120 tooth metal cutting blade and omg it was good! Cut 1000 pounds of aluminum and the last cut was as good as the first. for cutting quality. But…

This blade is crazy!

For the money this is a bargain. With this blade in my DeWalt miter box, I cut through what appeared to be a mile of aluminum U-profile, and it went right through. ONE IMPORTANT POINT: You must use a lubricant when cutting aluminum or the aluminum will melt and fuse with the carbide tips of ANY blade, quickly destroying it, including this one. The best and most practical lube I've found is wax. You can use Relton Stick-Kut, Castrol or Boelube wax stick. These types of lubricants are packed in…

It just doesn't cut it.

Is this a joke? Is it actually called an aluminum saw blade? For which aluminum? I first cut out a piece of 2" x 4" 6061-T6 aluminum, waxed it, and it just stuck to the point where I had to stop and remove the accumulated material between the teeth. I found it a little challenging. A few days later I cut a 6063 (softer aluminum) 1/4" wall, 2" x 2" angle and after two cuts I had to keep cleaning the blade. And that's not to mention heat build up, bears, poor finish , noise, vibration and…
