Then when we put the batteries in it didn't work. We had to fiddle with the batteries and the battery door to find the "gold spot" to make it work. If you've seen the Otomatone in the video, you've most likely seen the larger version, also known as the 'Deluxe'. I mistakenly bought this one thinking it was him, but I was surprised to see how small it is compared to the video. Wow, those are two different things. I bought the "English Version". The tool is not very well made. The stitching is wide and visible, the plastic case feels cheap, and the control strip has to be pressed pretty hard to make a sound. Also, the battery door doesn't match the rest of the device, leaving an annoying ledge that's easy for items to get caught on. It has no headphone jack and no access to the power supply. "Mouth" doesn't make a "wow" sound or anything like that. It's just a rubber surface with a mouth slit that can be opened and closed, but the seal isn't tight enough to change the sound much. I bought the white one for my grandson but I can see the rubber face/mouth discolor while the hard plastic body (only 10.5 inches long) keeps its color.
