Worked as advertised

This product worked as advertised. A very solid tool and all of the attachments seem pretty solid. For what I needed it for, which was to hold the crankshaft pulley on a Mazda 2.3L with a 2006 engine, it did the job, even pulling the breaker hard with an extension held it firmly and properly. I am writing this because I was having trouble finding what I was looking for and was wondering if it would work for my application or not. Hope this helps someone else in the same pickle! The largest…

It worked great for all three pulleys (two cams and one crankshaft.

I used this tool to service the timing belt and replace the camshaft seals which made removing the cam sprockets/pulleys on my 1998 Toyota requires 4Runner with 3.4 liter engine It worked great with all 3 pulleys (two camshafts and one crankshaft pulley) I was also able to use it to remove the harmonic balancer/crankshaft pulley as I didn't have a puller that I could use don't recommend. It wasn't built for this, but it worked great as a makeshift puller to avoid having to cycle to a parts…

Check the threads between the pins and holes as soon as possible

Check the threads of the pins immediately upon purchase. The one I received had M12x1.5 grub screws; However, the holes drilled in the pen holding tool are M12x1.75 threaded. As a result, the pins cannot be fully threaded into the tool and are unlikely to withstand the torques that the tool is designed for. The replacement I got from Revain (which came pretty quickly, I must add) had the exact same problem. Needless to say I returned both the original tool and the replacement for a full refund.

Used to hold the crankshaft pulley on my Toyota 4runner 5vz engine!

I needed a way to keep the crank and camshaft pulleys from turning when replacing the timing belt and water pump on a 5VZ-FE engine in my 2001 Toyota 4runner. Normally I would have rented this tool from my local auto parts store but they stopped carrying it as few people knew how to use it. hold the pulley. It took a little work to get the bolt under 217 ft-lbs of torque, but it worked by putting it under the frame rail when loosening and over the frame when tightening. The tool bent the…

Perfect for tightening the cam sprocket on a Jeep 4.7L HO

Wish I had had this before removing the sprocket from my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L HO. This would make the job easier and leave less marks on the camshaft than what I used - a vise. Anyway, I have replaced the cylinder head and the camshaft. This tool made it easy to install the sprocket onto the new head and camshaft. The two smallest diameter pins fit snugly in the holes on the camshaft sprocket and there is enough room between the arms of this tool to fit the bushing onto the camshaft…

Great product useful in homes or garages!

I have a Toyota 4Runner 2002 on which I was helped to change the timing belt. It's a versatile tool with many different uses and it works very well. Pros: Comes with multiple tips (e.g. 4 sets. 2 sets with cleats to prevent slipping and 2 sets with smooth barrels. 2 sets with thick barrel stocks). and the other two are skinny.) My 4runner has a pulley that is tightened to over 200 foot-lbs and turning it on and off worked fine. You can simply replace the broken tip with a suitable high-strength

I think it's a good general purpose tool but it didn't work for me

This is a universal pulley holder. I used this on my Tacoma 3.4l 5vzfe, I made my timing belt, timing belt tensioner, crank seals, cam seals, upper and lower idler pulleys (#1 & #2), T-Stat, water pump, oil cooler gaskets, upper and lower radiator hoses, Radiator cap, 2.5 gallons of coolant. Now for the OTC 4754 review. I bought it after reading online reviews and seeing others use it at 5wf to keep the harmonic balancer in place. So I got it, used it. It worked to loosen the crank bolt but…
