OverDrive offers a number of different services to help you get the most out of your library resources.

I love the fact that this tool gives me access to the power of Google Apps without having to install anything on my server, but I have to say that it feels like a bit of a compromise compared to what I am used to working with. The whole process of creating a new website is pretty much the same whether you use the free version or the paid version. You start off by selecting the template you want to use from a selection of templates that you create yourself, choose your layout (grid or text)…

Pros
  • If you are comfortable working within word processor document, this is a powerful tool because you don't need to learn anything complex - everything can be edited via word processor;
  • OverDrive can be integrated with Google Apps so you can publish to web sites automatically through Google drive.
Cons
  • The lack of an option to embed/embeddable options
  • Lack of social sharing options.
