OXO Good Grips Butterfly Refill Review

Gotta love OXO products. Nobody seems to pay that much attention to the ergonomics of their products. Your products work, are easy to use, and don't hurt my arthritic hands that much.

The mop was exactly as advertised. It works well. I bought this to clean puddles off a second story screened porch after a rainstorm. It absorbs moisture very well and the butterfly squeeze function works smoothly and well to help me remove water from the bottom.

Unfortunately it doesn't fit my old OXO Butterfly Mop which has a different attachment - two plastic tabs that snap into the metal body. Too bad because the mop is very well made, all metal, but if I don't get the attachments I have to throw it away. I asked if it would fit but the seller didn't answer. To return.

The best microfiber sponge on the market. Cleans great with very little water. Lowes used to have a similar mop but it was discontinued. I bought whatever was left and it lasted a few years. When they ended, no matter how hard I tried, I still couldn't find a suitable replacement. The mop is better made than the old Lowes mop. And their spices. It works so well with tiles that I actually enjoy using it. Works much better on tile than my $250 floor cleaner. Highly recommended.

At first I was pleased and impressed that the mop came fully assembled and the plastic cover on the sponge slid off effortlessly. In addition, as you would expect from Oxo, the mop is solidly constructed and the wringing mechanism is ergonomic and easy to use. This is especially helpful if you have arthritis or weak hands. I bought this mop for arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. I needed a mop that was easy to wring out and easy to maneuver during the blues. He does both very well. A nice plus is that the mop head can stand upright for storage. Unfortunately, after wringing, the mop head retains more liquid than other mops and therefore leaves more water on the floor than we'd like.
