OXO Good Grips Handheld Spiralizer: Effortlessly Create Healthy Veggie Noodles Review

The spiralizer is easy to use and clean. It does a great job. A limitation. The small instruction manual that came with the spiralizer is really inadequate and omits a few important details. A quick look at the illustrated explanation, which you get by typing the product name into Google, tells you everything you need to know in a clear and understandable way.

Now I've used it a few times, maybe I've fallen in love. I tried zucchini first and I have very little time to learn. Cut the ends of a decent diameter flat vegetable, press against the blade and twist. The end plate is designed to prevent you from hurting yourself if your fingers get too close, which works fairly well on softer veggies but is next to useless on something firmer, leaving you with a larger piece of uncut food at the end. I think sweet potato spaghetti changed my life.

My rating is limited because I bought this tool specifically for wrapping carrots. It seemed to me very inconvenient to twist carrots in a spiral. Most of the carrots were shredded because only a very small portion could capture the blade enough to rotate in a spiral. And it wasn't a small carrot. I would say medium if not large. Just received this yesterday and it might be my favorite kitchen utensil! And yes, this is actually an OXO Good Grips product. I've never tried spiralizing vegetables before, so I didn't want to invest heavily in buying a kitchen tool that might prove useless . Let me start by saying that this is the first Oxo product that I have not liked. I have many Oxo products including a salad bowl, vegetable peeler, mandolin and more.
