Kill the lines in the rear camera

Installed a rear camera in my 2009 Silverado, when I connected both the monitor and the camera to the tail light for power, when the engine was running, annoying lines appeared on the screen. I installed this between the light source and the camera/monitor power line, no other lines. We'll see its longevity over time, but for now it works as it says and I'm satisfied

Worked great for backup cam lines!

I have a noise in my second rear view camera which only gets power from the reverse light while driving. I installed this and more lines, works great. 4 stars for not having any instructions at all on what the wire colors mean - had to find it in other comments - red is car power, black is ground and blue goes to device, so power after filtering to main unit, camera etc. d.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Malfunction! good for amp

can i give zero stars? Mine may be defective. I use it for noise cancellation on a '96 Cherokee. I have a backup wire from the taillight as a trigger to the SPST relay. Run CSS12 on the bottom of the relay and as soon as I turn on the ignition the whole car dies. I have red for 12V direct from the battery, blue for camera power and black for ground. When I remove it the machine is fine and everything works fine just a few lines on the rear camera. So what the hell?

FIXED MY HORRIBLE LOUD VIDEO FEEDBACK 100%

Motor feedback was driving me crazy! Did a little research and found this little guy on YouTube. The video I uploaded shows everything. Before and after I only got noise and feedback when the machine was running. When the machine was on, just switched to ACC, the video was fine, but now 100% of my noise and feedback is GONE. What I didn't notice in the video, I also got feedback on my sound system when reverse gear was engaged. It took care of that too! I will DEFINITELY buy again if needed.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Update available

Rear camera, lines on the screen.

Works well! Install a backup camera in my wife's 2014 Durango and when you use the taillight the camera monitor turns on for a few seconds and when that happens the screen is full of lines or not at all. I was reading about electronic interference in this thing called "Internet", stumbled across this bad boy, hooked it up as the instructions said, now I have no lines on the monitor and it turns on every time. This didn't stop all glitches as the picture quality isn't the same as a direct clean…

Works great but no instructions (Read below if you need one)

My new car radio was the victim of a screeching alternator. First I did as others suggested and connected it to another ground. It was still very bad. I bought it hoping to eliminate noise but was very skeptical. I connected it to a permanent battery cable and it worked great. The only downside of this product is the lack of instructions. I had to look up instructions from competing products to find out. The red wire comes from the side of the car from the solid battery wire. Blue is on the…

It didn't work for me

Installed a cheap Amazon double din radio. 2001 GMC Savana. Release = some radio interference and there were blurry lines on the rear backup camera. That was my method of madness. I decided to first eliminate electrical noise in the head unit before moving on to the rear camera. installed 1 PAC incl. switched power to the radio = 5% helped. The capacitor continued to stop the radio for 5 seconds after the ignition was turned off. - RED to power input/BLUE to radio/BLACK to ground.2. set another

Worked well for me as a home theater

I was getting terrible static in my newly installed car player just when the engine was running. It would have earned 5 stars if only they provided the simplest hookup instructions. I had to get these details from other comments on this site. Like most devices these days, my radio has 2 positive power supplies. a direct always-on/battery wire (yellow in my case) to store radio memory, and an ignition key source to actually turn on the radio. I first connected this device to a permanently on…

Used to remove LED noise from the rear camera image.

I recently installed a new head unit and backup camera on my 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. I have LED reverse lights. Connected the reversing camera to the reversing lights. When the camera was active, there was a lot of noise in the line from the LEDs, making the image unrecognizable. When I turned off the light from the lamp base, the image was crystal clear. I bought this noise reduction filter and installed it according to the instructions. It worked great to remove noise from the line. I only…
