Good picture, good sound, new brakes can be used

Overall I am very happy with this video recorder. My old one was dead so pretty much anything would have been better but this Panasonic is one of the best I've had in years. The picture and sound quality is excellent. After reading feedback from Revain customers, I was already aware of the skipping issue when fast forwarding or rewinding, but I wasn't aware of how annoying it could be. Sometimes I'm in the mood to make a game out of it to see if I can outsmart the damn machine, but usually it…

3rd Time Charm - VCR

After my old JVC VCR finally died after over 10 years of faithful service, I bought another JVC. Unfortunately it was never able to sync and didn't align. Panasonic Commercial Skip VCR

I usually like Panasonic products but I don't recommend this one. First, tricky terminology: I was trying to replace whoever had a commercial "advance" which turns out to be not the same as a commercial "passport" which doesn't really mean anything. It offers a button that allows you to fast forward 60 seconds if you click on it to view an ad. However, because the commercials aren't designed for 60-second intervals, you'll either undershoot or overshoot, and it takes a lot of typing to get it…
