Review on 📼 Silver Panasonic PV-V4525S 4-Head VCR by Kadarius Gentry

I usually like Panasonic products but I don't recommend this one. First, tricky terminology: I was trying to replace whoever had a commercial "advance" which turns out to be not the same as a commercial "passport" which doesn't really mean anything. It offers a button that allows you to fast forward 60 seconds if you click on it to view an ad. However, because the commercials aren't designed for 60-second intervals, you'll either undershoot or overshoot, and it takes a lot of typing to get it right. It's just that FF is easier than that stupid button. Which leads to the second big problem: the damn thing zips through FF and REW so fast that when you hit the STOP button you're 9 minutes away from where you meant to stop. There's just no better control over it. So you're wasting your time trying to get to where you want at any time, moving back and forth, not to mention ads. Finally, the manual is so sparse that it's useless. I had to call tech support multiple times to figure out how to perform certain procedures. They checked that, yes, whatever it was, it wasn't in the manual, if you can call it that. I'm still trying to decide whether or not to return this VCR. Shipping costs cannot be justified. The only thing that can be said about it is that it is cheap. And the picture quality isn't as great as advertised.
