Fantastic toy (make sure you change the chain --> it's zinc)

This is a fantastic toy that my gray parrot and Sunny love! Only the chain, bell and hook have to be replaced. It's magnetic and contains zinc which can kill your parrot! Always test chains, bells and all metal objects with a magnet. If the magnet binds, the element must be replaced! Zinc and lead are deadly and unfortunately used in most toys on sale due to their low cost. The solution is to replace the metal chain, hook and bell with a stainless steel or cotton rope.

Pros
  • The movement of the toy will immediately catch the birds' attention
Cons
  • Volume

Paradise? fits toy

I received this item before the scheduled date. Thanks for that. The toy didn't last 4 days with Body, my gray buffalo "Congo". First we soaked it in water so that all the dye dissolved and we got a heap. This amount of dye may not be good for your bird. Second, Bodie chewed simple knots and dropped plastic balls on the floor of the cage. So much for that part of the toy then finally the strings have unraveled and now Cousin It looks like a mess. Costs money? Delivery? Brilliant. Can I…

Pros
  • 3" wide x 7" long; place near center of cage
Cons
  • sparse instructions

Ropes and bells - the perfect duo

This is my cockatiel's favorite toy. He loves grabbing the ropes, holding them over his head, dropping them and hearing the bell. There's something about joining ropes and bells that he likes. Actually, I already had this toy for him, but it was old and falling apart. When I found this by accident, I just had to have it. However, I am disappointed that the yellow ball bounced when it arrived. I was going to send it back but really didn't want to cause any hassle. Luckily he didn't hold onto it.

Pros
  • Made from animal friendly materials and features a quick release buckle for easy attachment to the cage
Cons
  • Includes negative

It's a top hit among birds

I bought this for our rescue monk/Quaker parrot, chicken. The chicken came from a woman who worked for Last Chance Sanctuary. All she could tell us about the bird was that it was once empty when she left a washed cage near the house to dry. The next day he was brought nearer to the house and the hen was in him. Needless to say, we cannot entertain the chicken in the same way as our other birds. Touch or trick training isn't an option yet, but I wanted to give her something extra for her cage so
