The first use the sealant on the wires didn't work and filled with water. I spent a lot of time installing the light. Find another supplier for your underwater lighting. Now I will ask for a refund.

The product does not have a flange gasket to complete the installation. I ended up using a bead of black silicone sealant around the base to finish it off. Otherwise it works great.

Replaced factory tail light as the lens has fallen off and will not float. I was looking for an LED replacement and it was a lot cheaper and much better looking. Careful installation, but not over-tightening the mounting screws, will ensure a successful installation.

The light is designed to look like a direct replacement for an Attwood taillight. It doesn't fit the same screw holes, and the included spacer is about half an inch thick, although it's oblong in shape, it can't be used for "surface mount" in any way. Actually, it's not even worth sending it back, so it ends up in the trash.

Tried to give this light a second chance after a friend said he loved it. I didn't know how to attach them at first. The large rubber pad stimulates thought. I installed mine with the wires on the outside so I just cut the rubber to allow for it. Remember that LED lights are sealed when used outdoors. So tires are just too much. They are bright enough to be mounted in a small area on an 8 foot ceiling. I installed 5 in an 8x20 room. The interior lighting unit with sealed wiring is sealed and waterproof. However, this part does not slide well in a chrome case. A little tampering will result in the entire chrome and plastic light assembly not bolting flush to the boat. I had to take it apart and reinstall it a few times, scraping off some of the plastic to improve the fit. Then I finally mounted them flush. I should mention that they are very bright. They are excellent for flooding the stern, night work or at anchor.

These lights looked promising but I am very disappointed. Shortly after installation they started fading and turning green! A cleaning with extra-fine 0000 steel wool and polish cleaned them, but only for a short time. These are pictures of the unusually thick rubber grommet that comes with the kit. It's not glued or anything so just throw it in the trash. It's useless. To flush mount it you will need to drill a hole in the mounting surface if you don't already have one. The included screws are 1.25 inches long and fairly small in diameter.
