Once set up, it works for our little pig when she sleeps around the house at night. I wouldn't use it as permanent housing, the walls are a little high and the privacy screen prevents the animal from seeing the room. The top zippered compartment is nice and big. We are now raising some chicks indoors as it is too cold outside. As they grew, I needed a "pen" with more space than a kennel. I decided to try this playpen and it turned out to be perfect.
