Very handy portable pump!

So far this little pump has saved me time and labor. I have 6 full size zonal irrigated soccer fields and am constantly fixing minor and major leaks on all of them due to tireless use of mowers, clippers and overseeders while the fields are CONSTANTLY idle. When we need to quickly empty a pit with our Toro Workman dolly battery, it's done in minutes instead of jumping off or using sloppy buckets. The unit is still working properly after 12 repairs on a 15 year old irrigation system as shown in…

Easy to use - rough installation

I cut and installed 30A Anderson power poles at both ends of the power cable. I can use the switch cable on other 12VDC devices. All my devices now have these connectors. Pumps water fast and works well. At 15 feet on the suction side, pump into a 100 gallon tank that is about 18 feet high and has a slope of 8 to 9 degrees. GHT x 3/4" PEX adapters will fit the pump, however the actual measurement of 3/4" PEX is 0.64" OD and is a bit small for 3/4" ID braided tubing. A hose that fits well has an

I had problems with this pump from the start

I bought this pump to water trees from the 40 gallon water tank in the back of my JD Gator. I immediately had trouble unplugging the cable from the connector in the pump. it was free I took the pump apart several times to fix it and was finally able to tighten it up. Then the pump died. I bought a pump for $30 that works great. I recently had time to take it apart and see what the new problem is. The bearing is frozen to the shaft. The brushes and impeller are all in excellent condition as I…

Only works for 1 minute and 33 seconds and then turns off.

We bought this pump less than a month ago. It never worked as described. It never worked for more than 1 minute 33 seconds before shutting down. The instructions indicate that vegetable oil needs to be poured into the pump, which is what we did. After calling Wayne's service department, we were told that we would need to fill the pump with oil every time we used it. The instructions say nothing about this. This unit is mounted on a portable water tank to supply remote animal feeders. When we…

Powerful portable pump exceeds expectations

Very happy with this powerful 12 volt portable pump. I use it to draw clean water from a 100 gallon tank mounted on a sturdy cart to supply water to a few dozen oak trees I've grown from acorns. Each tree has a 5 gallon bucket with drainage holes in the bottom on one side and three inches of play sand to filter out dirt and ballast, making the bucket's effective capacity just under 5 gallons. Depending on the rated power of the pump, filling takes less than a minute. Worked right out of the box

It works so well that I have to find another use for it.

I needed a way to pump water from the river on my property into buckets for delivery to my garden. I was skeptical when I came across this little pump, but Wayne is a reputable company and I decided to give it a try. I am very happy. Set up was easy - fill the inlet and outlet with some vegetable oil, connect the hoses (I used the included filter on the inlet hose), hook it up to a power source (in this case my Crafstman lawn tractor battery). After lowering the suction hose into the water and…
