Highly recommended!

Great! Very easy to set up and easy to use. It wraps balls very neatly. I attached it to the armrest of a dining room chair and wrapped neat balls in minutes. I've wanted a yarn winder for a long time. I'm glad I finally tried it.

Great Yarn Winder

I love it! The instructions said exactly how to assemble it and I did it without my husband's help. I'm not mechanical by nature so this was a great achievement for me. After putting it together, I followed the pictures on how to thread the yarn and wind it into skeins. It worked like a charm. I had a few operating errors, but they had nothing to do with the product. It's very quiet and will definitely improve my crochet projects without the yarn tying knots coming straight out of the skein. So

Yarn guide keeps falling

The thread guide does not "snap" in place as the individual instructions claim, but keeps slipping inward until it falls off, causing the thread to get caught in the gears. Even if I keep the thread guide in place, this winder just doesn't seem capable of holding the entire skein of yarn like the list suggests. I've had this item for two hours and have already had to cut out the gears and now I have a bunch of yarn to wind up and a small ball of yarn, which isn't even enough to make part of a…
