Good sealing material

Used as weatherproof HF antenna screws when I was in the Navy. I am currently in the business of weatherproof bike components. It's probably not intended for the product, but it works. 😹

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • New competitors

Not suitable for petrol

According to the specification, it is gasoline resistant. I tested the sample before using it. Allow to harden and then treat with gasoline. It completely dissolved in about 30 minutes. I could not use it for its intended purpose which was to be used for a gas tank. Might be good for other uses.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • The list is long.

Best Gasket Maker/Sealer

I've been using this brand for years and it has never let me down. Permatex #2 is ideal for almost all applications. I just used it to install a new sealed water pump. I also used it on the water pump bolts to completely seal any potential leaks. Works perfectly!

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • Something Different

Great for sealing bolts and felt pads

I used quite a bit of this rebuilding the top of the SBC 350 and the only leak I found was the lower timing sprocket which is rubber so that was it my fault it shouldn't have been used that way. Used on cylinder head bolts that all go into water jackets, fuel pump gaskets and water pump gaskets.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Bought the wrong one by mistake but it works!

I bought this product thinking it was the type that 'sets' to a flexible 'gummy' solid, but it's not the right product. However, I used it because I was desperate and glad I did. I've used it to seal some spots on some of the headlights I've bought. The first pair went badly. They sent a sealed pair and no leaks since!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some little things

Great part for every workshop.

If you bought a farm for retirement, you have to do the repairs yourself. My mower had a leaking valve cover gasket. So I bought it because I used it when I rebuilt engines and a new gasket. The smell brought back memories. Remove the cap and clean thoroughly, including the vent, and also clean the surface of the head. Apply a thin layer to the valve cover, place the gasket on the cover. Then apply a thin layer to the surface of the cylinder head gasket and reinstall the cover. Excellent stuff.

Pros
  • cool stuff
Cons
  • lots of stuff

Always trust this brand

There are many brands for this type of product but I always trust this brand. Valve cover gasket changed on Frontier. I don't know why the manufacturers design it that way, but the seal channel is on the cap you put it in, not on the motor. So you have to hold the lid in the air with the gasket inside and then align it to put it down. This product is needed to keep the gasket in the groove so it doesn't fall out due to gravity. Worked great. The minimum quantity served its purpose and didn't…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No power

Engine almost broke

I sealed the oil pan on my 2000 4Runner and the excess that was squeezed into the pan turned into cottage cheese similar to cottage cheese which was sticking my oil intake filter by 95+%. I'm really amazed that I didn't get an oil pressure light (and ruined bearings) as a result. The only reason I found this was because I had to re-pull the oil pan within a hundred miles of driving to fix an unrelated oil pump leak. It took me about two hours to clean the screen. The butter was spoiled too…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Speed of work
