Divine design and great functionality to go with it

A whole bunch of pluses: grinding is good, the grinder is the right height for the table and doesn't block the view of the person in front of you that is Design a work of art for the table. For an object with function, the pinwheel is suitable for hands, not too small and not too big. It feels balanced, not heavy on top or bottom, and the surface feels smooth.

Pros
  • Not just usable for its intended purpose

Looks good but falling apart

I checked old emails and found I bought a set of these in 2004. We stopped using them years ago because the handles fell apart. The cut was good, the looks were good, but the handle design was bad, very, very bad. I even spent half a day carefully fitting the spokes to the wheel and they only stayed together for a week or two. Then I bought an American Test Kitchen recommended Magnum pepper grinder, which worked (and still does) three times as long as a Peugeot. why anyone might buy a Peugeot…

Good volume, looks good for the table setting

I finally got so frustrated with my old pepper grinder that I replaced it with a "larger capacity". After trying this model and the Unicorn Magnum Plus 9" pepper grinder, we drove it. Although brushed stainless steel is more expensive, it suits our decor better and its aesthetic lends itself to a formal meal. It still offers enough volume though for serious kitchen use. Ironically, for us the deciding factor between the Peugeot and Unicorn models was that the Magnum Plus produced too much…

A jewel of precision that died on me

I've used pepper mills my whole life and I've heard that Peugeot was, ahem, the Rolls Royce of the culinary world. And it really is. The only problem is that after a year of use the lid fell apart and wouldn't put back together. complete loss. The problem is that the warranty I mention below has no return instructions, no address, no phone number and is completely useless. A promise without reason or security. Despite the five star rating I previously gave, I would avoid it at all costs. The…

Joy of use: Pepper grinders

I bought this grinder in June 2007 and still enjoy using it. I'd say I've doubled my pepper consumption simply because it's so much fun grinding it in this grinder. grinding is constant. The mechanism catches the peppercorns until they are almost empty. My previous windmills, all bought at half price, broke or were destroyed falling off the countertop. This mill has already survived a nasty fall. The ring flexed a little, not like it should, but a little gentle pressure and everything was back…
