Huge and amazing cooler. Please make sure you have the number before ordering!

PH-TC14PE is an excellent cooler. My system has a Core i7-6700K overclocked to 4.7GHz. Even under the heaviest load (e.g. a small FFT test in Prime 95) and a very smooth, silent fan curve that only reaches 100% when the CPU core reaches 85°C, the CPU never reaches 80°C - normally in the range of 72-75°C. That's the real deal. Under a much more typical workload, such as B. gaming, the CPU cores never exceed 65 °C and the fans do not even reach 1000 rpm. The fans are 140mm rotary fans, but the…

The slower chip was tested again in mid-tower and showed almost the same temperatures (maybe a degree or two.

I bought two of these for a pair of AMD FX 8350 processors, one of which could be overclocked to 4.4GHz and the other 4 .7 GHz stable and both run at 1.42 V. Both chips idle at 20 to 30 seconds, with temperatures reaching around 60 degrees Celsius on the day of the stress test. The ambient temperature in the room is about 75 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 degrees Celsius. I used Hyper 212 EVO before and it didn't help. Good cooling, inconvenient assembly, fan mounts are made under 120mm.

I chose Phanteks because of the smaller overall size than some of the competition and the robust 8mm heat pipes. I chose quality air cooling over water cooling primarily for reasons of simplicity and safety, but also because my case only has a 1,140mm top outlet and I didn't want to limit myself to 240 rad with front mounts.
