Description of Enhanced Ambiance: Philips LED Dimmable White Effect for a Perfect Lighting Experience

Philips A21 LED light bulbs with Warm Glow Effect provide 1100 lumens of soft white light, equivalent to 75-Watt incandescents with 80% less energy use. These bulbs fit standard medium base (E26) fixtures with the look and feel of a classic bulb. Not for use with Philips HUE products. Warm Glow dimming offers flicker-free, silent dimming that works with more dimmer switches than any other LED on the market. The more you dim, the warmer the light--from 2700- to 2200-kelvin just like traditional incandescent light bulbs. These best-in-class, Energy Star Certified Philips LEDs provide steady, natural lighting at 1/4 of the energy of incandescents, 1/2 the energy of halogens and with 10X and 4X the lifespan respectively. Philips LEDs are mercury-free so they don't contribute to harmful hazardous waste. Classic A21 soft white light bulbs are perfect anywhere you need a balance of clarity and warmth with the flexibility of dimming. The E26 medium base fits standard fixtures on pendant, vanity, and bare lamps, providing soft white light with warm dimming. This 4-pack of A21 LEDs is expected to deliver a lifetime of up to 25,000 hours and over 20 years based on standard usage of three hours per day, saving you the cost and hassle of frequent bulb replacement. COMFORTABLE LIGHT: Our products meet strict test criteria including flicker, strobe, glare and color rendition to ensure they meet EyeComfort requirements. Switch to Philips LED, light that’s designed for the comfort of your eyes.

LED bulbs are the way to success

My main excitement is that LED bulbs are the best light source I've found. This particular lamp, equivalent to a dimmable Philips 75W, works well and produces a warm light with no glare. Other LED lights, like spotlights, are great for outdoor security and nighttime lighting. This particular product was reasonably priced and well packaged; It works well.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Great bulbs, just understand they're bigger than the A19's body.

Very good lanterns but they have an A21 body type and this is not well suited to fixtures that also have a body. This includes most overhead/ceiling lights in the office and bedroom, as well as many ceiling fans. Incandescent bulbs often do this, but heat is the enemy of high power LEDs (75-150W equivalent) and they don't let heat escape. These bulbs were difficult to make and to dissipate heat they have a hole in the end of the bulb and it creates a dark spot at the top of the bulb which most…

Lightbulbs hum on lightbulbs

This is not the old generation version, these are the new ones that make a loud hum. If you want to hear when the lights are on, these bulbs will let you know. I contacted Philips customer service about the buzzing. The rep told me it must be an electrical issue, 100% fake. The first generation Philips LED bulbs, which had holes at the top, didn't buzz in the same fixture with the same Lutron LED+ switch. I waited too long to get them back so now I have 8 buzzing lightbulbs. Lamps in the old…
