Heavy Duty Luggage Rack: Couplers

This heavy duty roof rack can handle a lot of weight. I use it all the time for work and play. The only complaint I have is that it seems to droop to one side after reassembly.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Great luggage rack BEWARE exhaust

I just used this hitch rack to take my son to university. But it worked out well, because of my stupid mistake I didn't notice that my exhaust went straight into the rack. As a result, the huge plastic tank I had on the counter melted, as well as all the plastic items in it (coffee maker, dishes, cups, etc.). So it's a great way to carry extra stuff, but be careful where the exhaust pipe is pointing!

Pros
  • Great price

  • poorly thought out

Very Efficient!: Tow and Winch Items

Great Price! This is perfect for long trips in minivans and SUVs! We are planning a (road trip) in November 2010 and need some extra space in our 2001 Durango. I already have a safari roof rack but it is designed for smaller suitcases and duffel bags. This is exactly what we needed to have 4 large suitcases standing upright (front to back) and using bungee cords and ratchet straps to tie them in place, now freeing up tons of space in the vehicle! And with a nominal maximum cargo weight of 500…

Great rack! But a suggestion.

This luggage rack fits perfectly on my '95 Wrangler hitch. I like being able to carry my camping gear when the safari top is up and I don't want to mess with the trunk on top. Fits two of my 5 gallon military canisters on each end, leaving plenty of room for a giant Coleman cooler and other gear. It takes two to assemble easily, but costs less than $100. My suggestion: a stabilizing set screw to prevent it from rocking (even slightly) from left to right. It's not very noticeable, but knowing…

Ideal for Jeep touring

This luggage rack easily mounts to my 2010 Jeep Wrangler. I've just ridden it over 5,000 miles (with an all-weather carry bag strapped to the top) and have had no issues with dirt roads, snow and high winds. In fact, I was surprised it didn't rattle or wobble. After use it flexes on one side and there is a slight metal detachment in the middle. But that doesn't seem to affect the rack's functionality, at least not yet. Devices can be easily attached to it using conventional elastic cords…

NOT SATISFIED CUSTOMER. COST ME A $300 TENT.

website says this fits my Dodge Journey. he fits But it's also right next to the exhaust. I put it on the hitch, then packed my tent, fridge, a storage box full of camping gear, some folding chairs and took 5 kids on a 4 day hike in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately this product ruined our entire trip. After 8 hours of driving we arrived and I tried to unpack and set up my tent but MY TENT AND CHAIR MELTED! This is not compatible with DODGE JOURNEY. It's right at the end of the exhaust pipe,

Stable but shaky - be careful!

Disclosure: I purchased this product from Pep Boys but I find the Revain reviews to be a great resource in deciding whether or not to buy the product. So I'm making a review. This receiver stand is made by the same company but has several different names and retains the same part number. I had the opportunity to buy a "Navigator" brand receiver shelf. Installation was easy, instructions were clear and assembly took about 30m. The stand itself was very sturdy/solid but when the stand was in the…

It's ok but the design could be better

I bought this from Pep Boys where it was called a "Bully Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier". I agree with other reviews about the clout. When it's loaded and you take turns, it tilts to one side, making noise and, in some cases, scratching. Over time, this can cause damage to the trunk or tow hitch. Some constructions of this type of product are such that the trunk is raised a few centimeters instead of being straight as in this case. In many installations, the end-to-end design results in the rack…

  • Sturdy construction

  • Hard to tell
