💿 PlexDisc 6x Blu-ray BD-R DL, 50GB White Inkjet Recordable Discs - 25 Disc Spindle Review

Some reviews say these drives are great but that wasn't my experience. I bought the 25gb version and the 50gb version from amazon and the same company while there were sleek bad ones in the 25gb pack its nothing compared to the 50gb pack where i am already halfway through and 10 of 25 have turned out to be unusable. Got these rims after bringing 10's from the same brand several times. The price per drive is good and the compatibility is great. These discs record and proof perfectly on my Panasonic UJ-260 at up to 4x using the Z-CLV strategy where discs start at 2x and then switch to 4x. Discs are readable on my LiteOn iHBS112, LG WH14NS40 and LG BP60NB10. My LG drive was causing recording issues so I no longer use it for recording. I've been using Verbatim DL BDR for years but the cost is ridiculous. At $2.4 per disc, it's time to try something new. Plexdiscs cost about $1.7 per disc, a big difference. I've recorded about 1000 single layer BD-Rs over the last 5 years so I was curious how dual layer discs would perform. You haven't let me down. No errors or slips in the first 20 discs I checked. I still like Verbatim but I will probably start buying more Plexdisc DL BD-rs because of the price difference.

I have been using these discs successfully for 3 years without incident and in the new batch I ordered this month there are already 2 bad discs ( Cannot record disc input) out of 10 I've tried. I will not buy this brand again. Drives are too expensive for a 20% failure rate. Update: After testing all 25 drives, the total number of failed drives was 12. Bought a spindle for 25 discs, arrived today. Tonight I rode half a spindle without a coaster. FYI I'm using Imgburn and Pioneer BDR-207D with the latest firmware. I enabled verification to allow Imgburn to verify the checksum of each drive. So far, so good. After that I tested each disc in my Sony Bluray video player. I still have a plex drive spindle that I've burned multiple copies with and they were fine. I ordered two new 50gb 25 disk spindles and started making more copies of the same iso, thinking everything was fine. I went through all the remaining spindle I bought a few years ago and then put a new spindle in. I burned all 25 pieces, then into the third new spindle.
