BUY ONE SIZE UP

I usually wear a 56-62 helmet and can't even fit M/L quite on my head. They are clearly not the right size. I just sent back and ordered XL.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Can't remember

Don't settle for less when your life depends on it!

Saved my life! Broke my neck, arm and ego, but I'd be dead if I put on a smaller helmet. A minor brain hemorrhage and a concussion, but a hard hit against the steel railing! Lifetime POC customer and buying new POC helmets for all my friends who ride. Thank you POK!

  • Permanent test results

The forehead ridge of the helmet blocks the view a bit

The helmet fits well. The adjustable ratchet strap takes a little getting used to, but effectively adjusts the helmet to your head (mine is oval). The front of the helmet, as mentioned in other reviews, interferes with your vision when you "look ahead". This takes some getting used to as you have to raise your head higher to have a longer view in front of you. I also really like the helmet. I also appreciate the comprehensive head protection.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Not everything fits

I have had many helmets and love the protection of this helmet but found it to be too low. After a few minutes of descent, the helmet moved just enough to block my view. I set it up several times but couldn't solve this problem. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who likes a helmet that only fits their eyebrows. Basically you should have a rather oval rather than a round head.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Nothing

Not for round Asian heads

A very nice helmet for people with an oval skull. If you have an oval head you will love this helmet. If you have a round skull, which is very typical of Asians, don't bother with POC for half a century. You will need to go up a size to get a side fit, but the ratchet choices are very limited compared to other brands. When they say size 59-62 cm they mean 59 minutes. You just can't compress it by say 56cm to get a space between the temples. Shame as a full POC face of the same size fits me.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

This is a great looking helmet with typical POC quality. However, it does have one pretty serious downside - when they installed their SPIN system, they didn't add length to the chin strap. It looks like a regular tectal helmet but is too small for me due to the extra space the SPIN padding takes up. It also probably won't fit those using the standard Tectal Race with the chin strap stretched to the maximum. It's a good helmet (and cheaper at Revain than the old Tectal Race) but it does NOT fit

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Doubtful

Light and fresh

This helmet exceeded my expectations. I used the Bell Super 2R and it was a good helmet. However, I had to replace it after a serious accident. I'm glad I chose POC as my half cap, it's so light and sits very well on my head. I don't think my head overheats in hot California weather. The chin strap is also easily adjustable with a dial on the back. For me this helmet is comfortable and looks very good. It's expensive, but I'd like to think it's worth protecting my head. Other helmets to look…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

No regrets: cycling

I haven't bought a helmet for a long time, so this is my first "modern" helmet. I didn't want to buy it without trying it on, the pandemic did. Fit is great. Being a full coverage helmet, it's a little heavy, but that's your brains. The straps are soft and easily adjustable. Fits pretty "deep", but I have a flat head. I have read many reviews about glasses or glasses disorders. written by people who have not read the product instructions. The helmet is adjustable in forward and backward tilt. I

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons

Spin = Snake Oil good for cycling

This is just an overview of "spin" pads. Overall the Tectal is a great helmet and I have another. However, I consider spin pads to be a gimmick. I bought this for extra protection as I really like Tectal but immediately sent it back. I tried pressing it with different forces and moving it on my head in different ways and compared it to my existing helmet. Both helmets moved the same way on my head - in other words, they moved the same way on my skull when pressed against my head - and that's…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
